Monique Holt - Top 100 Most Powerful Women

Congratulations to Commissioner Lieutenant Monique Holt for being named one of the Top 100 Most Powerful Women of Union County in 2024!

Lieutenant Monique Holt started her career with the Monroe Police Department in 2003. Throughout her time she has educated elementary and middle school students with decision-making skills and dealing with conflicts. She has helped build a positive relationship between the local schools and communities that the police department serves.

Lieutenant Holt has received several awards and recognitions. During the 2013-14 school year, she was named "SRO of the Year" for Union County Public Schools, then later Union County "Officer of the Year" in 2015. Lieutenant Holt has also implemented many programs within the department to benefit the community and the kids in the communities, including summer programs and mentor programs.

She serves as the supervisor for the current School Resource Officers in Union County Public Schools, Community Service, and Animal Control. Lieutenant Holt is also a member of the Union County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council Board and member of the UCPS Safety Committee and several other organizations.
