Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Landlord Orientations

Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Landlord Orientations

On Wednesday, March 11, 2020 Monroe Housing Authority (MHA) had the privilege of hosting two Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Landlord Orientations. Current and potential HCV landlords had the opportunity to be refreshed and enlightened on the HCV Program operations ranging from MHA Responsibilities, Family Responsibilities, Landlord Responsibilities, Fair Housing, Housing Quality Standards (HQS) Inspections, and more. MHA was also excited to announce to landlords our New Landlord online portal. In attendance with landlords, we had Board of Commissioners Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson present as well.

MHA recognized landlords for their commitment to providing quality housing to families in the following categories:

  • Silver-Passing HQS 1st time 1 year in a row
  • Gold-Passing HQS 1st time 2 years in a row
  • Platinum-Passing HQS 1st time 3 years in a row

Congratulations to all the winners!

If you have questions or interest in becoming a landlord with MHA, please email our HCV Manager Carolyn Canady.
